Baby Shower for Deepika is on Friday, 11th June in KLS cafe from 11am – 1pm. Hope you can come and celebrate a new baby due in July 2010.
We are proud to announce that three of our W.O.W mums Clara Fernandes, Sandra Munoz and Hadas Hagos, who are also volunteering for Family Action, received recognition for their hard work and commitment during the National Volunteer Week. The event was hosted by Yvonne Carr Children’s Center and was attended by the Mayor of the Borough who presented volunteers with certificate.
Wandsworth Contact a Family is holding a coffee morning on Friday, 11th June 2010 in KLS meeting room from 10am-12, to raise an awareness of disabled children’s needs in Battersea. Positive Parent Acction – organisation of parents of disabled children, will attend too.
Our cookery class with our Community Chef is on Friday, 4th June in KLS cafe from 11am to 1pm. We’ll be making cupcakes.
Back by popular demand: Crockery Decorating Workshop will be on Saturday, 29th May 2010 from 11am to 1pm in KLS cafe. Refreshments provided.
Sunday, 23rd May 2010 we are joining the campaig to raise awareness of lack of foster parents in Wandsworth. The workshop for boys and girls will be organised by Chelsea FC in Battersea Park Arena, near tennis courts from 2-4.30pm.
Ms. Vanessa Wride from Battersea Summer Scheme will join our Parent Forum on Monday, 17th May 2010, 1-3pm in KLS to discuss stimulating and enjoyable activities for families during the school holidays.
Mr. Andrew Smith, new Operations Manager of VSD at Wandsworth Voluntary Sector Development Agency, will attend our Coffee morning on Friday, 14th May from 11-1pm to to find out about the range of development needs local organisations like ours may have. Refreshments will be provided.
