WoW Halloween Party

WoW Mums traditional Halloween Party is on Friday, 31st October from 5pm – 7pm in Kambala Club Room, 126 Fawcett Close, Battersea.

Admission free for Kambala estate Residents and WoW members.

 

WoW Mums in Caius House

WoW Mums have been invited to a tour of Caius House, the newly refurbished youth facility in Battersea. This youth centre offers space for developing and broadening children’s horizons through art, sports, cooking, dancing, IT and music studio recording.  Everything that any child or a young person would need! WoW Mums are looking forward to working in partnership with Caius House.

WoW Inter-Generational Challenge

WoW Intergenerational lunch on 7th September in Haven Lodge was an enjoyable event with 10 young people from The Challenge National Youth Network, who cooked pizzas for the residents and even washed up the dishes. These young people are going to accept a challenge with aim to fundraise for the inter-generational events and make the life easier for the elderly residents. WoW Mums are planning to use these funds to take the residents to Brighton.

WoW Enterprise Club

Wandsworth Lifelong Learning  project continues to support  WoW Mums Enterprise club by funding our short courses to  enhance employability of Mothers and other residents.

This month WoW Mums have   organised a short course ‘Introduction to Creating a Newsletter’, delivered by Senia Dedic in Battersea Business Centre.  Despite summer holiday, we had a high  demand for this course. One day introduction was not enough to learn all about  composing a good newsletter, so we are planning to organise a full 10 weeks course soon.

Next WoW Enterprise Club   workshop is on 19th September in 200 Pennethorne House from 11am—1pm.  All welcome.

WoW Inter-generational Coffee Morning

WoW Mums regular inter-generational coffee morning is on 26th August from 1pm in Haven Lodge. Our special guest is Betty, who will show us the old skill of embroidery.

Battersea Literature Festival

WoW Mums have been invited to Battersea Literature Festival launch at the Battersea Power Station on 22nd July. This festival has been organised by  Clapham Junction Town Centre Partnership and Waterstones.
