Positive Parent Action is a group of parents and carers who’ve come together to champion children and young people (from birth to 25), living in Wandsworth who are affected by disability.

Knowing that there’s strength in numbers and shared experience, thy work closely with Wandsworth Council to improve provision for all families in the borough with additional needs.

PPA have set up the parent forum in 2009 with funding from the national initiative ‘Aiming High for Disabled Children’, which promoted greater parent involvement in local provision.

Since our launch PPA have helped to bring parents and professionals closer together, and established a committed steering group with valuable first-hand experience across a range of disabilities, age groups and family circumstances.

Several WoW Mums are  members of PPA and will attend their Christmas lunch in Kairos Centre in Roehampton at 11am today.
