WoW Mums have organised a New Years Party for residents of Haven Lodge, sheltered housing accommodation on Monday, 5th January from 1pm.

Positive Parent Action is a group of parents and carers who’ve come together to champion children and young people (from birth to 25), living in Wandsworth who are affected by disability.
Knowing that there’s strength in numbers and shared experience, thy work closely with Wandsworth Council to improve provision for all families in the borough with additional needs.
PPA have set up the parent forum in 2009 with funding from the national initiative ‘Aiming High for Disabled Children’, which promoted greater parent involvement in local provision.
Since our launch PPA have helped to bring parents and professionals closer together, and established a committed steering group with valuable first-hand experience across a range of disabilities, age groups and family circumstances.
Several WoW Mums are members of PPA and will attend their Christmas lunch in Kairos Centre in Roehampton at 11am today.
WoW Mums are invited to a coffee morning for the Wandsworth Muslim Women’s Network hosted by Houda Al-Sharifi, Director of Public Health in Wandsworth. Houda is a senior director in Wandsworth Council and the most senior Muslim member of staff. This informal meeting is an opportunity to have an informal conversation with Houda and discuss challenges affecting Muslim women locally in the Mayor’s Parlour at the Wandsworth Town Hall.
Wandsworth Council organises Civic Awards ceremony annually to celebrate unsung Wandsworth heroes who have dedicated years of their lives to helping others.
WoW Mums have been nominated again this year for the Civic Award for volunteering their services over 8 years for the benefit of the wider community, without expecting anything in return. We will continue with our valuable work to fill the gaps in services for thechildren, single Mothers and for elderly.
