One of our WoW Mums, Jeanette Wickham, has opened her cafe Eat Play Love on Battersea Park Road and we had a launch lunch there today. Special home made cakes and fresh sandwishes and salads are on offer as well as home made chutneys, curds and jams from Sommerset.

W.O.W Mums Hadas and Sandra will be facepainting at Battersea Square Summer Fair on Saturday, 12th May. Please support us by visiting Battersea Summer Scheme’s table from 10am – 5pm and help us fundraise for KLS.

WoW Mums and Big Local Trust

WoW Mums are taking part in Big Local Trust project and are meeting Helen Garforth on Wednesday 9th May from 1pm – 3pm in KLS. Everyone welcome to express their ideas on how to improve life in Battersea with Big Lottery funding.

Comedy Show

WoW Mums have been invited to Femmes by the Thames Comedy Show on 17th May 2012 at 8pm on Battersea Barge. Female performance showcase featuring award winning stand up Shazia Mirza, quirky songs and poems from Liz Bentley plus character comedy from Cariad Lloyd, Susan Harrison and Holly Burn, music from Mary Leay. Hosted by Rosie Wilby.
£5 on the door, 7.30pm doors, performances from 8pm. Tickets can be reserved by phoning the venue.

Adult Learners’ Week

Women of Wandsworth have received an ALW Certificate as a group for unique team learning and completeing our DIY Course together, which made such a difference to our lives and our community. The ceremony is on 17th May in Museum of London in Barbican.

Cooking Workshop

Join our cooking workshop with children on Friday, 4th May from 4pm – 6pm in KLS cafe, 108 Battersea High Street.The ingredients will be provided.

We will have a nutrition workshop with Mr. Paolo Donati from Weston Price Foundation, who will tell us how modern processed foods affect children’s health and  behaviour.
