W.o.W Mums are taking part in organising Christ Church School’s Carnival, which is on Friday, 8th July from 1.30pm -4pm in the school playground and Falcon Estate. All welcome. Entrance free.

Tea Party in Haven Lodge
Our regular monthly tea party with the residents of Haven Lodge is on Thursday, 23rd June from 11am – 1pm.

Olympic Torch
Three W.O.W Mums and our three youths have been nominated to carry the Olympic torch through London in July 2012 to start the London Olympic Games next year. The decisions will be made from August 2011 by the London Olympic Torch Relay team.
Taekwondo Party
The final W.O.W Taekwondo class is on Saturday, 9th July 2011 from 10am – 12 in KLS Gym. The Master will give the Certificates of Achievement to all children and choose the ones who can attend the second level. Join our party to celebrate.
Trip to East Shallowford Farm
Our annual trip to Devon Farm is from Friday, 15th July to Sunday 17th July.
We are going with Providence House guides and staying at East Shallowford Farm in National Park Dartmoor. This trip is funded by Aiming High with aim to give disabled urban children an experience of country life and the chance to try organic food from the farm.
Great London Swim
One of our WoW Mums, Caroline Farrar, is swimming 1mile course at the Great London Swim on 2nd July 2011. Start at 12 from Royal Victoria Docks, East London. Please sponsor Caroline and help fundraise for Katherine Low Settlement Charity and WoW.

WoW Mums nominated for Mayor’s award
WoW Mums have been nominated for Mayor Boris Johnson’s Volunteering Award for our exceptional effort and outsatnding contribution to our community for more than 5 years, which has made a considerable impact on our area.
W.O.W Work Club
Since W.O.W Mums became stakeholders in Friends of York Gardens Library, we have strived to help and keep it open with help of volunteers. We found a solution in recruiting volunteers from Job Centre and started our own W.O.W Work Club. The launch is on Friday, 24th June from 11am – 1pm in KLS cafe. Guests of Honour are Cllr Wendy Speck and Jo White, Job Centre Borough Partnership Manager.
Father’s Day Cards
Join our Coffee Morning on Friday, 17th June from 11am -1pm in KLS cafe to choose the best card for Father’s Day from Maria’s creations. Refreshments provided.
Doctors and Nurses
On Monday, 13th June Mrs. Elaine Curley is coming to our WoW Parent Forum to talk to us about getting the best service from our Doctors and GPs. Refreshments will be provided.
