w.O.W November 2011 Newsletter has been published.

W.O.W Work Club is on Friday, 25th November 2011 from 11am – 1pm in KLS cafe with Jane Ellison MP and Jo White from Wandsworth Job Centre.

We have organised a WoW Christmas and New Year celebration in Haven Lodge on Wednesday, 28th December 2011 from 11am – 1pm. We will have a cooking workshop and an art activitie for the children and the residents. This event is  funded by Wandsworth Age UK.

Two hours of free GCSE tutoring starts from 3rd December in York Gardens Library. If you would like to improve your child’s chances of getting good grades, please attend the drop in session on Thursday, 24th November in Kambala Club Room from 6pm – 8pm.

We have been very fortunate to have been given free tickets for diasabled children by Daytrippers  to see Aladdin pantomime at  the Lyric Theatre on 6th December 2011. We are very gratefull.

W.O.W Mums have been asked to speak at the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities workshop in Chesterton school today, to empower the parents and tell them how our Mothers have formed our family support group and became advocates for our children and our community..

WoW Mums have been invited to Mayoral pre-election debate on Saturday, 12th November from 4.30 pm in the City Hall.

WoW Mums will take part in Battersea Winter Review on Sunday, 11th December 2011 from 7pm in Battersea Art Centre.

Our WoW Mum Sandra Munoz Alvarez steped in as a Chairperson of Kambala Estate Residents Association and saved it from closure. www.kambala.org.uk

Another WoW Mum, Hadas Hagos, saved Rollo Estate Residents Association from closure and volunteered to become the Chair.
