Houses of Parliament

WoW Mums attended a Reception at the Jubilee Room at the  House of Commons, organised by Jane Ellison MP to mark the  work of those charities and voluntary community  organisations who contribute so much to the life of Battersea. It is encouraging to hear that the number of volunteers has rocketed in the past few years and is still on the increase. This is adding tremendous social and economic value to the local services.

Domestic Violence Workshop with Stella Creasy MP

WoW Mums attended a community workshop on ending the Domestic Violence in Wandsworth with Stella Creasy MP. After enthusiastic brainstorming,  micro actions were designed to keep women and girls safe from harm. We identified problems and found possible solutions for safer growing up, for safety at home and safe community. WoW Mums are in process of planing the actions on how to implement our ideas on abolishing this unacceptable behavior everywhere.
