WoW Mums volunteers have organised a New Years celebration for residents of Haven Lodge on Friday, 4th January 2013 at 11.30am. All other residents from our community are welcome as well.This event is funded by Age UK.

Rotary Christmas Day Lunch

WoW Mum Senia Dedic helped at the Battersea Rotary Club’s Christmas Lunch for the elderly who live in Wandsworth. 500 elderly attended the Christmas lunch and enjoyed playing bingo and dancing. It is amazing to see 200 volunteers come on 25th December to  help serve the lunch and care for the elderly in our borough. This is truly remarkable!

WoW Christmas Party

WoW Mums are hosting a laser disco Christmas Party with Karate Kids in KLS on Tuesday, 18th December 2012 from 5pm – 7pm. We will be giving presents to all children at our WoW Grotto and special ice-cream tubs very kindly donated by Mr.Christian Oddono of Oddono’s Gelati. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Civic Awards Ceremony

WoW Mums have been nominated by our local Councillor for the Civic Award this year as the unsung heroes in our community. We have been cordially invited to the Awards Ceremony Dinner on 28th November 2012.

WoW Mums Embrace Project

WoW Mums Embrace Project is here. We are currently running some Make Your Own Play drop-in children’s drama classes which you are welcome to bring your children to. It’s Funded by Wandsworth Council. Only £1.50 per session. Children get to use their own ideas when creating modern and classic plays including modern adaptations of Shakespeare. They learn about modern and classic plays the fun way, use their imagination, work together, bond as a group, develop social and emotional skills as well as boost confidence doing drama the therapeutic way.
Parents and carers are free to stay and socialise if they wish as there is a cafe at the venue.
Every Tuesday, 4 – 4.45pm Age 5 – 7,5 – 5.45pm Age 8 – 11,Providence House,138 Falcon Road,Battersea,SW11 2LW

WoW Mums in Parliament

WoW Mums have been invited to the Houses of Parliament to meet Margaret Hodg MP and update her on development of Sure Start children.

WoW Enterprise Club

W.O.W Enterprise Club  on Friday 9th November 2012 with Mrs. Mary Cunningham, Job Centre Plus Lone Parent Adviser, in 200 Pennethorne House from 11am – 1pm. Next workshop is on Friday, 14th December from 11am – 1pm in Pennethorne house. The guest speaker on enterpreneurship will be Mr. Christian Oddono.
