Battersea Square Fair
W.O.W Mums are fundraising for KLS at Battersea Square Summer Fair by face painting and supporting Battersea Summer Scheme. The event is on Saturday, 14th May 2011 from 11am -5pm.
Fruit Picking Garsons Farm
We are very happy that we have been offered Thomas’s Schools buses to go fruit picking in Garsons Farm in Easher this half term.
We will be going on Tuesday, 31st May 2011 from KLS centre.
Reception at House of Lords
W.O.W Mums have been invited to Annual Parliamentary Reception at the House of Lords in Palace of Westminster on 7th June 2011 to discuss the vision for literate children with ‘Volunteer Reading Help’ organisation.
Writing for Children
A comprehensive 4 sessions course on writing and editing children’s picture books has been organised by Chalk The Sun charity. It is on Saturdays, 14th and 21st May and on 11th and 18th June from 1-4pm in Balham Bowls club, 7-9 Ramsden Road, SW12 8QX.

Lion King
The award winning musicle Lion King is a magnificent show, which can push children’s boundries of imagination and entertain adults with stunning costumes, music and evocative story set in Africa. WoW Mums and WoW Kids are going to see this amazing performance on 11th May in Lycium Theatre, thanks to Aiming High grant.
Royal Wedding Party
Join W.O.W. Mums on Friday, 29th April 2011 in Battersea High Street for the Royal Wedding Street Party from 10am – 7pm. International food, dance and music with live coverage of the Royal Wedding on the big screen.
Tae-Kwon-Do
WoW Mums have organised free Taekwondo classes in KLS from Saturday, 7th May 2011. We have been funded by Thomas’s Schools Foundation to improve our children’s confidence, self-defence and coordination. If you would like to put your child on the list of attendees, please call 07811660580.
Dinner with Harriet Harmon MP
Following the success of our petition and the DVD to save York Gardens Library, WoW Mums were invited to a dinner with Harriet Hapmon MP, Shadow Secretary of State for International Development and Shadow Deputy Prime Minister. We were very honoured to have been seated at Harriet’s table and to have had the opportunity to update her on our campaignes to protect children’s services in our borough.
