Free IT Class For Elderly
WoW Mums Sandra Munoz Alvarez is teaching the older people at Haven Lodge how to use the modern technology to improve the communications with their grand children and families. The elderly have learnt how to email, Skype and how to use the internet to search for the cheapest shopping trolly and for their favorite old time songs. The free IT classes are every Friday (term time) from 10am – 11am in Haven Lodge IT suite.
WoW Donation to York Gardens Library
WoW Mums have continued to support the York Gardens Library by fundraising through organising Drama and Taekwondo classes for children. We have raised £3200 so far with grants from Thomas’s Schools Foundation. WoW Mums gave the big cheque to the library on 16th March 2013. It is great that the York Garden’s Library group is going to support FREE GCSEs tutoring for local children in English and Maths with these donations.
St. Patrick’s Day
St. Partrick’s Day Parade and Festival is on Sunday, 17th March 2013 from 12 – 6pm.The day kicks off with a spectacular parade of colourful marching bands, floats, costumed characters and street theatre groups.
The parade leaves Piccadilly at noon and follows a route along; lower Regents Street, Pall Mall and finishes in Trafalgar Square.

The event continues with a festival on Trafalgar Square with a food market, children’s area and an afternoon of top Irish comedy.
Polka Theatre
Please come to WoW Parent Forum on Monday, 11th March from 1pm – 3pm to meet Fran Chabrel from Polka Theatre and attend one of the shows in April.

Easter Egg Hunt
WoW Mums have organised Easter Egg Hunt in Haven Lodge Garden, Wolftencroft Close, Battersea on 2nd April 2013 from 11am – 1pm.
International Women’s Day
WoW Mums have been invited to a Reception at the City Hall by the Chair of London Assembly Jeanette Arnold, on 8th March to celebrate International Women’s Day. This special event will be in the City Hall’s Living Room which will include the food, music, discussion and the networking opportunities with the London’s most successful women leaders.

WoW Festival
Women of Wandsworth have been invited to have a stall at the WoW festival, organised by Women of the World from Friday, 8th March until Sunday 10th March 2013 from 10am – 6pm in Festival Hall, Southbank centre to celebrate Women’s International Day and achievements of the women across the world, while highlighting the need for grater equality. This event combines the live music with live debates, films screening and speed mentoring.
Everyone is welcome.
WoW Enterprise Club
WoW Enterprise Club is on Friday, 8th March 2013 from 11am – 1pm in 200 Pennethorne House, Battersea SW11 2SH. Refreshments provided. The speaker will be a newly self-employed Mother Kimberly Brown.
