Today we had a picnic  in Fredwell Gadens together with Battersea Sure Start’s Parent Forum to discuss and evaluate recent fun events for children in Battersea and Clapham Common. We decided to attend Battersea Firebrigade’s Fun Day in Este Road this Saturday 28.June.

Today we had a lovely picnic in Fredwell Gardens to celebrate the beginning of the summer. Battersea Sure Start’s Parents Forum joined us to discuss and evaluate recent fun events for children in Battersea and Clapham Common. We decided to attend the Battersea Firebrigade’s Big Fun Day in Este Road on Saturday 28.June,too.

Trip to Isle of Wight

W.O.W. mums are going to Isle of Wight this weekend to an Art Colony in Ryde to produce some new stunning art work. Watch out for a new exhibition on our return.

Make a Valentine Card

 

Monkey Bread

1 and 1/2 cup self raising flour optional extras

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 1 tsp cinamon

100 g butter -leave at room temperature and cut into cubes 1/2 cup walnuts/pecans

1/2 cup firmly packed soft brown sugar

1 cup of Sultanas

2 eggs lightly beaten

3 very ripe bananas

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp honey

1 tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 180 degree C. Grease loaf pan. Rub butter, flour and bicarbonate of soda itogether. Mash bananas with milk and add to flour mixture. Add Sultanas, brown sugar, eggs and honey into mixture. Mix the ingredients with wooden spoon. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO OVER MIX! Pour into loaf pan and bake for aproximately 45-50 mins. Use skewer to check if it is cooked through. If it comes out clean and dry, than it’s done.

Community chef is cooking with mums on Friday 25.April , when children go back to school. If you would like to get a new recipe or idea for your next lunch menu, join us at 11 am in KLS cafe.

Still life painting

Because it’s Half Term, instead of our regular coffee morning we organised Still Life Painting for children (but Mums can join in, too) on Friday, 18.April in Goulden House, Entrance B on Bullen Street, Battersea. We have limited amount of equipment, so if you would like to come, bring any brushes or paints that you might have. If not, come anyway at 2pm-4pm and learn something through play.

TennisWeather permiting, we will enjoy a game of tennis in Fredwell Gardens in Battersea on Sunday 6.April from 11am – 1pm. Join us even if you don’t know how to play tennis, or don’t have the equipment, because we have 4 tennis raquets, which we will share in turns.
