‘Aiming High for Disabled Children’
The government is asking all local authorities to get parents and carers of disabled children involved in shaping services.
There is some money available to make sure parents and carers can be more involved and participate in making decisions about services that affect their children.

Your involvement is crucial to ensuring we get as many views as possible and it does not necessarily mean attending meetings: it could also mean having a coffee morning or a social evening to discuss services or commenting via emails on how things are moving forward. So long as parents are talking to each other and making sure their views are getting to the right people, then we can be sure that their views are being sought. It could also lead to a Parents’ Forum.

Wandsworth Contact a Family is organising an introductory information session during the February half term – there will be a fun session for children with staff on hand to look after them, and an information session for parents/carers.
We would love to have some parents to help us plan this event and offer their views on how it should be run.
If you are interested in finding out more, please call the office on:
